The draught of 2007 has left many "high and dry" as illustrated in this image taken near the Bull Run Marina in Northern Virginia on September 30, 2007.

Due to extreme drought conditions, water levels in the region have reached a point where boaters with trailered boats can no longer launch at places like Bull Run Marina.
